Ok, here's what my dad had to say
"Danville was the site of the Vice Presidential debate when Bush first ran for office (not the last
election-the one before that. It is a beautiful town and Centre college
(the site of the debate) is there. The town is located down HWY 127 and is
not far from I-75. It is growing and the surrounding area is gorgeous!
Manchester is kind of on the way to Hindman. Danville does not have the
mountain Heights Manchester does. Danville is hilly but no mountains. You
have all the conveniences in Danville you need without the big city
headaches of Lexington and Louisville. Your cousin Janet graduated from Centre college a long time ago."
Is there anything specific you wanted to know?
PS...when he says manchester, he means manchester, KY-- not UK! (there's also a Manchester, TN!
) Hindman is where all of his family is originally from--it is in the middle of no where.
