Thanks for all of the ideas!  I've seen shelves of the varieties (clover, heather, etc., honeys from different area of the country) and had no idea what the difference might be.  Maybe I just need to have a honey-tasting party!

Actually- if you have allergies (seasonal/ hayfever/ whatnot) it's best to use local honey as it will build up your immunization to the pollen in the area.

I've heard this one too... next spring I need to get lots and lots of honey! :)

Moved from Albuquerque, NM to Fort Wayne, IN. . . wildly different plantlife. Thought I was going to die. . . Lived off Advil allergy and sinus caplets and green tea with LOADS of local honey. . . Somehow have survived.
