Sorry to revive, but if you're looking for a closer substitute to Thin Mints try Sainsbury's Mint Polar's.  They're the generic substitute for Mint Penguins, but they're closer tasting to Thin Mints!   ;D
Oh cool! Are they cheaper than Penguins?

I have had ASDA'S brand called Mint Puffins they are generic for Mint Penguins I think they taste very similar to Thin Mints. 1 pack is 62 pence my BIL said they were on offer for 4 packs for 2 pounds but that was last week when he went shopping so they might not be on sale now.

Argh!  I keep meaning to try some of these things but forget about them every time we visit Sainsbury's - like this afternoon!  :P

I was just going to type this! I really recommend ASDA Mint Puffins. Theyre really lovely... and dare I say... better... than Penguins.   ;D
