Help answering difficult interview questions

How can I research current compensation in the UK for specific roles?

In the US I use salary.com. Is there a comparable site for the UK? It seems that you're advising I be informed on what the market supports and ensure my reply to the salary question is within those boundaries.

Matsfets posted a great link in another thread (http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=31552.0 [nofollow] ) which seemed to be close to what I need, but the site doesn't work.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I've just joined the group today. As I'm in the midst of job hunting for a new position, and hopefully will have some interviews coming up, this post is right on time. Even though it's several years old.

Thank you very much for this brilliant advice. I'll re-check this post for review, when I have received definite dates for my interviews!
 

I was taken aback with a question "describe yourself with 5 adjectives". I felt like I did not know any adjectives only nouns
