Yes, it can actually get confusing. I can go to a couple surgeries even here in a rural location. The inconvenient part, though, is that the HV team is a completely different catchment. So the only time I can see my HV is at my surgery. If I wanted home visits, I'd have to switch to another team.

So glad you're making progress Steph!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

It's exactly like they said, I have a number of practices in my area since I live pretty close to the city centre of Nott'm. Upping and leaving the one for the other was the best thing and I'm so glad I did it.

I only have one surgery in my area.  When I use this link it gives me other surgeries in other surrounding towns/villages. But surely I can't be entitled to all the ones it list as there are over seven pages and some are completely in a different county!

you're right that it's unlikely all those surgeries are in your cachement area, but in cities there are simply more surgeries around, which means more choice.   If you really want to know, call your primary care trust or perhaps look on their website for GP cachement maps.
