Hermetic jars?
« on: September 10, 2010, 12:21:30 PM »
Hey there,
I'm looking for these type of jars that I used to get at the Container Store in the US:

http://www.containerstore.com/shop/kitchen/foodStorage/jarsTerrines?productId=10011037&N=74177

No luck at Tesco, Amazon, ASDA, etc. Anyone know where I can find these in the UK?

Thanks!

What about Argos, if not already mentioned?

sorry I can't remember all the specific locations as I've been looking for different kinds of jam jars, but I've seen them on a bunch of websites lately.  I did a search for clip top jars and came up with these (amongst others).

(look lower on the page and there are a bunch of other amazon sales of the same kinds of jars)

I just recently saw some of these type of jars at ikea--not sure if they're the exact thing you're looking for, but I was certainly going to pick some up :)  Cheap too!

Great, thank you, everyone. Am going to Ikea in a couple of weeks, and will take a look at those. Otherwise, I'll try Lakeland or those third-party sellers on Amazon. I WILL make apricot jam before the summer's over :)
