All my three kids have had the MMR injection.  The littlest one had it right when all the controversy broke out.    :o  My feelings are that measles is an awful awful disease.  I grew up with two boys(now men) who wear permanently and severly brain damaged as a result of having measles.  The chances of getting measles and having complications is greater than any chance of complications from the MMR jab.  That's why we had it.
And I also believe that it's your responsibility to society to have your child immunized.  The less children that are immunized, the greater chance of other vulneralbe people getting the disease.

Just my opinion.

The whole debate about a possible link between the MMR vaccinations and autism began after my oldest three children had the series. I was a bit worried when the twins started in 2000, but from all that I have read, there has been no definite link. (Still, it did cause me some worry.)

My second ex husband's ex wife's son by her second husband (got that?! hehehe) was diagnosed with autism around age 2. He is 6 now. She has been on a crusade (spends all her extra time and money) on trying to settle a claim against the drug company that maufactures the vaccine, claiming that there is no way in h*ll she would have a child with autism, so of course the preservative caused him to develop it. Anyway, this all started while I was pregnant with the twins, so she kept sending me "scary" emails. It was hard to be objective when there was this fear factor, but I went with my gut. And they're fine...(sort of, four year-old twin boys...help!) and just had the last in the series a few weeks ago.

I am going to fully vaccinate, but on a slower schedule than the one offered by the medical profession.   Our pediatrition in the states pointed this out to me: while it is important to maintain the status of disease suppression by keeping children vaccinated, there is no real reason to bombard them with all the vaccines at once and/or during the first year of life.  The schedule of vaccines is a guideline, so it doesn't hurt to wait till the baby's immune system is more mature.
I plan on 3 separate shots as well, so I am glad you brought it up.  (My DD is 15 months)
