My MIL & I watched it last night!  Your boat & garden & everything looks so nice.  I wonder if my MIL thought I was a liar though in saying you are American, because you didn't sound American at all - I didn't think so anyway.

I just watched it, it looks like a little slice of heaven where you live (although, maybe not in winter!!) Good job, your garden is amazing.

Do you get slugs?

Also, your accent, you sound like a native! I have been in Manchester since 1993 and I sound like I just got off a Long Island boat!

We watched it last night - totally was all confused at first saying "that can't be her" because you didn't sound American at all.  Your garden looks so cool!  I'm so wanting to try growing tomatillos next summer now.

I watched it this morning! You did a great job! And, yes, you're right - it's a very bi-continental accent. Your garden looks fabulous!

Aww, thanks so much for all your nice comments everybody!!! :D

Do you get slugs?
There are tons of snails on the garden barges, but they don't tend to jump ship and climb onto our decks. We're encouraged by the gardener (she tends to the garden barges in the spring/summer/fall) to kill as many snails as possible, though. And after you've felt the sickening crunch of a snail underfoot at night a few times, you start relishing chucking them in the river for that satisfying "plop" noise instead!

I feel inspired to try and grow some tomatillos!  :D
They were really very easy, but you need two things: 1) somewhere very warm to grow them when they're little. Our wheelhouse is an AWESOME greenhouse replacement for seedlings, and then I transplanted mine outside in early May when the last frost was done. And 2) lots of canes, because they grow ridiculously tall! I grew a few seedlings for my friend this year, and hers did really well in her garden in Surrey, too. We both had more than we could eat, and bags in the freezer, too!

I watched this as well. Your garden is absolutely gorgeous, Squirrelypoo! And I too, like the others, thought I'd never know you were American if it weren't for here. Now the interesting thing is yesterday we went to my in-laws' house for Christmas. My mil started talking about the program (she loves it!) and specifically talked about the American girl's boat garden. lol (all nice things!) So to her British ears you still sound American.  :)

This is a bit of a late comment, but we saw you and you looked great.  Too bad your segment was so short.
