My semi recipe for the UK
Chex Mix minus the Chex Cereal
3 cups Cherrioes cereal (each cup is approx 30g)
3 cups Shreddies (each cup is approx 30g)
3 cups Wheat cereal – I used Wheatbix little bites (each cup is approx 30g)
1 cup mixed nuts or just peanuts
1 cup bite-size pretzels
6 tablespoons butter or margarine (3oz/85 grams)
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (1.04oz/29.5grams)
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt (.219oz/6.2 grams)
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder (.109oz/3.1 grams)
1/2 teaspoon onion powder (.073oz/2.06 grams)
Oven Directions Heat oven to 250°F (120C) . In large bowl, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips; set aside. In ungreased large roasting pan, melt butter in oven. Stir in seasonings. Gradually stir in cereal mixture until evenly coated. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Store in airtight container.
Seasoned Salt you can’t find here I don’t think...You can use celery salt and a bit of the below seasonings.
To make a seasoned salt – GREAT on chips, chicken, burgers just about anything
Ingredients
• 2 tablespoons salt
• 2 teaspoons sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon paprika
• 1/4 teaspoon tumeric
• 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/4 teaspoons cornstarch
¼ teaspoon = 1.03 grams
½ teaspoon = 2.067 grams
2 teaspoon = 8.26 grams
2 tablespoon = 24.86 grams
