Uncle Talon-what was the minor issue that they denied your visa for?  This scares me!

Well, when she came to Heathrow and was called into the interview room because she said she was coming to see her boyfriend (I guess), then after wearing her down for three hours, they tricked her into "implying" that there was a possibility that she might accept a job while she was here (which she categorically denies saying), but they put that down on her refusal of entry along with that she didn't "satisfy" them that she would return to the US.

This now means that she has a nice black cross on her passport.
But the reason she was denied a Visa was that they tried to call her work (to make sure that she would be coming back), and the number that her work had given wasn't being answered.

Grrrrrrrr

Seriously speaking as to the inept way things were handled...ahem
It was the worst day ever, UT is right they just wouldn't let a sleeping dog
lie as it were....If I said it once, I said it a million times that I wasn't going to work there, nor was I not going to return....amazing how people can twist your words and make things out to work for them in their favour....I mean really...give a girl a break....
As far as the LDR itself, yes, it's very difficult indeed, but anything worth having doesn't always come so easily, and if we (Uncle Talon and myself) can get through this whole thing, than that just makes us all the stronger....I know I will never give up at "our" attempts at happiness.... :)

You will get there in the end  :)

It isn't easy at times but well worth it in the end. I have my chap here in the UK at last after a few years LDR and it's the best feeling ever.

We did have some tough times to get through...but it just made it all the more worth while when he landed here a couple of weeks ago. I still can't believe it all at times!  [smiley=love.gif]

Good luck to you both  :)

p.s. still learning the ins/outs of the "QUOTE" thing...:)

Above each box (each post by each person) on the right side there is a "insert quote"
this will insert it the whole person's words and you can quote just what you want ;-)
