Congratulations......not meaning to be nosey but why such a delay in getting married and applying for the visa?

While my fiance makes a very good living over there, by his current monthly bring home salary we don't meet the extra income a week requirment of 100 some odd pounds. He gets a promotion in April 2012 that   will let us meet that requirement but we then are waiting for 3 months after the promotion to show 3 pay stubs of the new income as well as 3 pay stubs from the old income to show the reason why we had to wait so long.

On top of that saving up for a place to live, my plane ticket (which since we can't buy until we get the visa will be about $1,000), the cost of the visa itself, and moving my cat over (another $1,300 just to fly him).

Well good luck with all that. Particularly the move of the cat!

Yeah... Not looking forward to that, lol
