Wendy's pulled out of the UK in 2000. There are loads of Buritto places in London including Chipolte. Chilango's is my favorite though.

According to their website, there are TWO Taco Bells in Sheffield!  We're going to Sheffield to celebrate my birthday in September, so if we can find them (probably the Devonshire Street one), we will definitely be going there.  Taco Bell is my favourite US fast/junk food, after Wendys... I'm sure some will judge, but hey... you like what you like!  :)

Just back from 3 days in Sheffield, where we ate at Taco Bell twice, and thoroughly enjoyed every bite!  :D  Free soft drink refills, too!

Just back from spending new year in Sheffield... Taco Bell was such a great New Years Day hangover cure!  I don't know exactly what it was called, but I had a chicken burrito which had a spicy queso sauce on it, and churros!  :)

I need to drag my husband to a Taco Bell... It sounds so lovely right now.
The usual. American girl meets British guy. They fall into like, then into love. Then there was the big decision. The American traveled across the pond to join the Brit. And life was never the same again.

Near where I work there is a Chipotle, and a Chilango just a few doors down.  I also prefer the Chilango .  Just seems nicer.

Are these American chains?
Never been to either of them before, but just looked at Chipotle's website and their photos of the food look good!

We have a couple of burrito places in Glasgow... Taco Mazama and Pinto.  Both are good, but expensive!  And at Taco Mazama at least, your meal is served with a dollop of bad attitude/snotty service. One condescending wee creep told me that the burrito I was requesting (beans, cheese & sour cream only!) was 'not really a burrito'... it was a 'wrap'.   ::)
I wanted to let her know that I grew up not far from the Mexican border and I KNOW what's a burrito and what's not a burrito, but I try not to engage with twerps when they're handling my food!!

Chipotle is all over the States now, it's billed as "premium " fast food but I've seen some nasty ones.

Not sure about Chilango, I always thought it was from the UK

I'm with you, I'd have a short temper with anybody in Glasgow trying to tell me what makes a burrito.  I won't try to tell them about whiskey and all will be fine.

Once I was walking around in San Jose CA and saw some guys selling mango slices in a bag with white and brown powder.  I thought it was cinnamon and sugar, all the Mexicans laughed hard when I found it was hot pepper and salt!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomasina_Miers

Thomasina Miers is the founder of Wahacca.  I remember watching her win Masterchef in 2005 - she baked a loaf of bread just so she could put a line of crumbs on a plate.
