Yeah just in case anybody else is wondering, we've done it in that time period:)
Word of warning though, I've had the people at preclearance try to separate my and my husband telling us "we weren't family". Just try to ignore them if you can as they shouldn't be separating you. We listened to them the first of a few times doing this trip and it took us REALLY close to our next boarding time (but it wasn't far to where we needed to be so was okay in the end) because the non-US passport control line was REALLY long that day. The person at the desk told me we could've gone together through the US passport line and we've never had a problem since.
