You don’t need any correspondence from the new address, you just need evidence of permission from the landlord to live there, even if it is subject to a credit check.

The correspondence is to prove a genuine relationship (by showing you have been continuously living together) not to prove your address.

Hi Ksand4, thanks for the reply!

Sorry my question was for section 14, consents for home office to request verification check. In this section I have to put husband's and mine name and address, so do we put our old or new address?

My thinking was since all the correspondences we are providing is from our old address, we should put in the old address in here. What do you think?

Also is it true that the address correspondence is not required (or not as big of a deal) if both us are legally married in the UK? We had a civil marriage and have a certificate to prove it as well.

Thank you!

Put the old address because that is the one that the bank/utility statements will have been going to during the period that you have supplied them for.

It makes no difference where you were married, you are still required to provide correspondence evidence as instructed on form FLR(M)

Thank you for the clearification!

Ahh ok. I was hoping being legally married would ease the load of the correspondence. But as you guys have said as long as we have a letter to explain our situation we should be fine. Its pretty nerve wracking leading up to the appointment!

Unfortunately not - EVERYONE has to provide the correspondence, regardless of whether they are married or not, or what country they married in.

If you are applying for a fiance/spousal/civil partner visa from outside the UK and have not been legally able to live together yet, then you provide evidence of regular communication while living apart. Or, if you have been living together in a different country (i.e. the US), then you provide evidence of living together there.

If you are applying for FLR(M) from inside the UK, and you have been living together in the UK, you provide evidence of that, by way of utility bills, official correspondence, tenancy agreements etc.

Hello everyone!

First and foremost the decision of the appointment: visa has been granted!! [smiley=juggle.gif]

I want to thank all the people who helped me iron out the application! The thing I was worried the most about, i.e. the letters of correspondence didn't cause any issues, instead, they wanted to see the bank statement with the previous month's salary paid in, the previous month's statement did not have that as it ranged from 26th July to 25th August. So we panicked and showed them on the banking app to show that the salary has indeed been paid in.

Other than that the only other issue was us coming back a little to late... We were told we could head out for a couple of hours, so that is what we did, we came back at 4:05 which apparently wasn't allowed, luckily one of them let us in. So if you any of you are leaving the appointment centre, ask what is the latest time you have to come back, otherwise, you may be locked out!

Once again thank you to each and every one of you for your help!
