Hello All,
I'm starting to think these posts throw up more questions than answers, but I need some help so here goes:
My girlfriend is applying for the UP visa. She's currently in the US, I'm recently resettled in the UK (having moved back from the states when my J1 visa expired). We're putting all our documentation together and one of the things left for me to do is write my own letter, stating that I'm keen for her to come.
I'd like some advice on this. How personal should the letter be? Is there a particular tone I should aim for? Obviously I'll include all the facts that show we've been together for the requisite amount of time, but is it a good idea to include the mushy and sentimental stuff too? I know this would make it a bit more personal/human.
Also, is it a good idea to get some personal tetimonies from family members, confirming our relationship and saying that they consider my girlfriend a member of the family?
I'd appreciate any advice.
Thanks and happy new year.
Matt
