I’m sure that Turbo Tax has a work around as Tax Act does. My 2 cents would be to contact support and explain the situation. They will either give you a whitelisted Stateside address, or let you file for free. Agreed it’s very frustrating not being able to file without a U.S. address. Many banks offer a ‘mailing address’ and ‘street address’. Try a family member, friend or even last U.S address. D/C’s can still be mailed to the U.K., and won’t affect billing address on file.
I've been using my last US address/phone number. Not taking things this year. I'll just deal with it....and move on. I just....can't.....cut the cord from the US. The US has their claws in and won't let go.
Next year should be easier. Taking my UK wife off the taxes so just me. Several savings accounts will just be in her name. Done moving money from the US to the UK so it's just my pension and that's not much money. Social security is only taxed in the UK....so...in theory, next year should be a breeze compared to recent taxes.

Dear TaxAct® Customer,

Thank you for your inquiry. The 1040NR is form that reported to the IRS in which we follow. We apologize that you were unable to make your purchase for the address you had provided. Our system only allows U.S. based cards and address used for purchases.

Thank you for using TaxAct.  Please let us know if you have any further questions.

With SS I believe you and the IRS will receive SSA-1099 for SS payments received. The IRS return should have the SS payment received figure reported and then negated in other income I understand.  Still some fun awaiting you in the near future.

Yeah, I'm just going to wait another couple of days and then try the old fashioned paper method. Last year I sent them 2 different tax returns in the envelop, one with SS and one without SS.....and a note stating that SS wasn't taxed in the US because of the treaty....worked out I guess. I'll just crank it out as well as I can and hope they take pity on me.
