1. If I apply now, will I get a physical BRP card or is it all digital now?
The BRPs won't be going digital until 1st January 2025, so you will get a BRP when you apply, but it will only be valid until 31st December 2024... and then it will go digital.
2. Is document scanning at my appointment available with Super Priority or do I have to upload online?
You can add document scanning and/or checking when you book your biometrics appointment on the UKVCAS website if you want to.
The Super Priority part is purchased on the UKVI website when you submit the online application, whereas the biometrics appointment and any added services (like document scanning) are purchased on the UKVCAS website after you have applied online.
3. I'm working on the application now and have come across a question I'm not 100% sure how to answer: How long have you lived in the UK?
I came in on a fiance visa, then did FLR(M). Should I be counting from the date I landed in the UK on a fiance visa (not contributing to my 5 year settlement route) or the date my first FLR(M) was approved (the start of my 5 year route)?
Count from the date you landed in the UK on the fiance visa, as that is the full amount of time you have lived in the UK under the partner route.
4. On the "Choose a service" step of the online application, I am given only one option:
I would like to do super priority. Is this the page in the application I need to keep refreshing on? If so, once I select the super priority do I immediately book an appointment? I'm not able to skip work this Tues-Thurs so I want to avoid going too far in the application and being stuck with an only appointment options that I can't make.
Yes, if it is not currently giving you the option to add Super Priority, you will need to keep checking the submit page until Super Priority shows up.
The super priority slots are released at 1 am every night and they sell out almost immediately, so you'll want to log in at 1 am each night until the option shows up.
As long as you don't officially submit and pay for the visa, you won't go too far in the application... if you pay the ILR fee without getting super priority, you cannot add it later.
At this stage, though you are only paying for the Super Priority service itself, which is added on to your appointment when you attend it. You don't actually choose an appointment date until after you have paid for the visa and super priority, and you have registered on the UKVCAS website (free appointments are released at 9 am each day, while paid appointments are released at midnight).
