I found loads of recipe's on line and even ordered golden syrup too, so I'll let you know how they turned out ;-)

I have some golden syrup in my cupboard if you ever need more! I haven't the slightest idea what to do with it!

hotdogs with icing... yeah, um I'll be staying away from  that! hopefully they won't serve that at tea next month!  ;)

I love flapjacks but once tried to make them and it was a disaster. They turned out kind of like oat soup.

Here's a very simply flapjack recipe I follow and amend as necessary

http://duramecho.com/Food/Flapjack/

I made my "winter spice" flapjacks for Christmas for people and all the Americans here loved them! They were all expecting "pancakes" of course but really liked them.

I add cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and dark molasses sugar and use a very good quality butter and they should be very chewy and syrupy and never dry.

This recipe is "foolproof" I promise - I am truly crap in the kitchen! I might make some tomorrow, I found golden syrup here in the supermarket for $4.99.

Hey, that sounds delicious and do-able. I'm gonna give those a try.
