If you run the tea bag under some lukewarm water before brewing, it will cut down on the tannins and bitterness.

I've been a tea drinker all my life.  We always had Lipton's orange pekoe when I was growing up.  The irony is that I married into a family of coffee drinkers.  In the US I was often the only tea drinker, and now that I live in the UK...well, I'm still the only tea drinker  ::)

I've never been a big fan of tea or coffee so when I really want a hot drink I go for a herbal tea or a hot chocolate. My favoruite herbal tea has always been rosehip. Peppermint is nice too - very refreshing.  The only tea I've found that doesn't have that nasty tannin taste is Kenyan.

You'd like the Heath & Heather morning tea I posted about.  It's rosehips, hibiscus, and spearmint.
