Am I safe in assuming that the series ended before Christmas?  I had my Virgin Media system set to record the series, but I've seen nothing since before Christmas, and what little I've found so far on-line makes it sound like it ended with a 'cliffhanger'...I think Abby was taken by the guys in black and the government nut woman was still running around on the loose... and I think we got a glimpse of Peter riding off on a bicycle with some man.

Is that the last thing others saw, or did I miss something?

Series 1 is over.  The show was picked up for a second series.  And yes, that was what the last show ended on.

And Craig got shot!

I have mixed feelings about the ending. I felt that they still left too many things unanswered, although I appreciate it's because they've got another series. I mean the only thing we learned the entire series is that Peter is indeed still alive. None of the relationships have developed and we don't know what the guys at the lab are about. I felt a bit shortchanged at the end.

But do we know Peter is still alive?  I actually just thought that Abby was hallucinating/having flashbacks in her high state of panic.

Should've seen Greg's death coming...there was some media when the series first started about main characters dying out of the blue, but I managed to forget all about that until just now!  Wish they had shot Sarah - I know she's supposed to be annoying, but I just wanted to chuck things at her head the whole time!!

Glad to see it's coming back for round 2.  Not super-awesome-astounding, but still a pretty good show IMO.  Wonder how long it'll take to come back on air?

Thanks for the update.  And I agree with the analyses, Ashley and Aless.  I guess I assumed the whole story would be told in one series, but when I was searching around yesterday, I found a web-site in reference to the original series, and it looks like THAT ran in three series - I know I would've seen just a few episodes of the first series, when people were meeting up with each other and dealing with the shock.

If I find that web-site again, I'll post a link in case anyone's interested...

I caught the first episode of the new series last night, and for those of you who gave up on it, it might be worth a re-try.  It's not perfect, and it's been so long that I forgot some of the plots, but they really seem to be upping the quality.  Plus, there are some very nice camera style changes.  It almost gives it a bit of a graphic novel adaptation feel.  Not too bad.

Am I the only one watching this?  I can say in a lot of ways this is a better series than the first.  Some of the acting is amazing.  Some is total crap.  This series is very stylised though.  You can sort of see the story boards in some of the shots, and it's very graphic novel inspired.

It has some of the best villains on telly right now (at least IMO)--and no I don't mean "Billeh".

It's sort of a lot of the same plot, sort of like last series.  They keep getting split up and this leads to problems and someone needing rescuing.  It was funny, last night's episode had them pledge that they needed to stick together from now on and seconds later they split up again.

It still has flaws, but it's a better programme than even last year, IMO.

You're not the only one, it's  must watch Tuesday TV at our place. I thought last night's episode was a bit far fetched, what are the chances that one of their relatives is alive and that the name is remembered? But still, it's a gripping concept and the story is generally very good. Plus the evil one is spectacularly good, he makes the show!

I also can't believe that Tom didn't see that coming with the kids.

that's his name, Tom!
Yeah, the rationale was a little off on this week's episode. Still I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

Yeah, there is more petrol than food, apparently.
