Anyone else watching...?

I remember the original series of this growing up as a kid and thought it was all quite scary. The remake just started on the BEEB has a great cast and im enjoying it so far.

I, too, remember the original series!  I was in the UK visiting my grandmother for six weeks - I was in my teens and more than happy to try to catch several of the episodes rather than going out and partying.  I thought it was a fascinating series, and have already missed the new one since I didn't pay any attention to what night it's on!  Will have to check my 'catch up on demand TV' option...

I love this, but why haven't the main group got any weapons, if i was in charge i would be going down to the nearest army/barracks/RAF base to get some weapons, maybe even a tank  ;D ;D ;) .
its a far better thing i do than i have ever done

me too, i'd then find a lorry, fill it up with food and head to Wales to find a remote farmhouse with its own generator.....obviously stopping to assist any female survivors found on the way..

I like it, but I am sort of into this sort of thing.  We just watched the first episode.

What would you have done with the prison guard?  I totally would have left him in the room with the food if I could have overpowered him and without killing him outright.

I don't get why they're staying there.  They've got cars.  Why not get away from the bad people and go somewhere else?

yes i agree - plenty of large secure properties around with their own emergency power supply - i'd find one of those after raiding M&S for all the good stuff, borrowing a range rover and relieving some jewellers of their diamonds.

Alternatively a remote pub.....

Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil Grab Liz. Go to the Winchester. Have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

That's what is annoying me right now.  Of course, it looks like the next episode takes them away from the house (and each other!), but the whole 2nd episode, it was like WHY are you staying there?  The second I found a rival 'gang' in the area, you bet your bottom I'd have found a new house in a new area the very next day - why mess with that sort of crap when you don't have to?  It's not like there's lack of choice!!

Looking good so far.  I'm huge fan of Stephen King's The Stand, so this similar set-up has gotten me excited about the series.  Can't wait to see what's going on in that underground lab!!  Betch they get infected eventually, too, hehe...

Because it wouldn't make very good telly. ;)

I think because they know that they'll find people like that everywhere and they feel it's no use trying to find a "good" place.

I like it but I don't like the new Sarah girl, the way she moons over Craig and she so obviously uses her body to get what she wants. Who else thinks Bob will come back with a vengence?

I think they must move in the next episode, because it looks a bit like storylines are diverging...of course I thought that would happen in the last one, and everyone came back home :P.

Interesting to see how the "commune" turns out...

I am enjoying it even if some of the characters seem a little too pat.

I just wish they'd DO something!!

Seems like the storyline has floundered a bit in the past few weeks, with never ever moving it forward.  Hopefully when/if Abby gets kidnapped by the scientists (which is what they have been insinuating), that'll move things forward a bit.
