Visa is wrong..what to do?

Wife & C received their passports back this morning with their visa's inside. However my wife's says Settlement spouse/CP (KOL Req). She included in her application her pass certificate where she had took and passed the Life in the UK test this August.

What are we supposed to do now? I thought they would be issued ILE. Does this mean she has to take and pass the Life in the UK test all over again once she is here?

Also what does the CP mean after settlement spouse?

CP is Civil Partner ... Spouse or Civil partner is the type of her visa.

You just need to contact the Consulate and request for the visa to be reissued as ILE.

Simple fix, it just may take a bit of time.

Well you need to contact the consulate and then they'll advise what to do. Most likely it will end up being overnighted to them for correction, reprinted and overnighted back. I'd say if you can get them to agree to correct it and you get it to them tomorrow morning then probably Tuesday next week you'd get it back.

Not a lot of time but you shouldn't have booked any travel yet either so you should have time to do this. It MUST be done before she leaves the US if not then you're going to have to apply for ILR when she gets here and be out £900 for the priviledge.

Get it sorted through the Consulate.

Don't just send them back CONTACT THE CONSULATE FIRST!

Wife has contacted them and she (the ECO who processed the application) said to send the passports back along with a copy of the KOL certificate and she would fix it.
