Extremely frustrated with dieting and exercising.
« on: January 20, 2011, 05:22:10 PM »
Alright, so right now I'm becoming extremely frustrated with myself. I'll start from last September, I knew I was going to England, so I pretty much got into the best shape I've ever been in. I lost about 20 pounds, looked fantastic if I might add but I'm not trying to be big headed, I just hadn't looked like that in at least 10 years. Then, I got to England, and all the exercising went out the window as i never seemed to have enough time between internship, uni, traveling around and being with Daniel. I tried to watch what I ate, and I stayed in shape for a couple of months. ( I honestly could never say no to a McDonalds quarter pounder w/cheese, or Daniels delicious pasta dishes ) so I started gaining weight back.

I slowly returned to my post England weight and it got really bad. So when I look at pictures from this past June and September I shudder at them. So I'm determined to get back into shape again and have been working out about 4 times a week doing mostly cardio and weight work. I'm really trying not to have fast food, if I do it's once or twice a month. I have given up pop as well, and other sweets like crisps and ice cream and candy. I try to bring veggies to work and snack on when we're slow, and it's helping a little bit.

However, I just can't lose this belly fat, its extremely frustrating, I'm drinking about 7 glasses of water a day ( I really can't do much more cause I'm running to the bathroom as if I have the bladder the size of a pea ) and trying to keep my metabolism going and eating every 2 hours. It's just not happening. Is there any advice? Daniel will be here soon and I want to feel  better about myself, even though he says I'm beautiful, I just wish I could get back to that September '09 weight.

Also at work, I'm always on my feet and walking around (in a pharmacy, grabbing drugs, going to the drive-thru, etc.) so I'm adding a bit more walking in there. Any advice is appreciated, or diets that have worked. I have an exercise ball at home that I do crunches off of as well on top of going to the gym,b ut I can't go to the gym every day with work and coursework.

Thanks, I know this is a long-winded post, I'm just getting frustrated with myself as nothing seems to be working.

Hi - Join us in the shrinkers club :)

A few of us have had success with SparkPeople others weight watchers. Others like me, struggle, but keep at it nonetheless hoping we somehow have a breakthrough and don't get waylayed by holidays, bank holidays, trips for work, etc.
I've never gotten food on my underpants!

I can't really afford weight watchers unfortunately. How do I "join" this shrinkers club? lol I'd love too, as Daniel tells me I'm beautiful however I look, and I don't have anyone to go to the gym with, I'd love some help, advice, and motivation from other people.
