We're also going to give our parents photo albums when we get the pictures. We gave all of our adult wedding party the same thing - quaiches (whisky tasting bowls) with a personalized engraving. My DH came up with the messages for each of his groomsmen and I came up with ones for each of my bridesmaids. We knew it was something they each would like. Our flowergirl, who is 3, got a fairly large stuffed highland cow which she thanked me for very politely, dropped about 30 seconds later, and never looked at again. Her mother tells me she's not very into stuffed animals. Oops. We also got one for our ring bearer/page boy but he wound up not being able to make it so we named her Harriet and she's sitting on our entertainment centre.
For the wedding favours we gave the 3yos coloring books and crayons (Little Miss Princess and the RoyalSpecial Wedding) and the less than 1yos got little stuffed sheep. Cleaning up at the end of the night, the flower girl hadn't so much as opened her crayons but the parents of the other 3yo who made it said it was brilliant and their daughter did a lot of colouring. My flower girl did like the stretchy bracelet my mother made for her, so it wasn't a complete loss.
Uh, back to you, ipod shuffles are about on par with a flask and can be engraved. Cuff links are fairly traditional, if you think they'd ever use them. A box of Hotel Chocolate truffles can be customized to fit a budget. A bottle of perfume or cologne if you know what they like.
