Update for benefit of others in the same situation - visa was approved, the fact we are using the old 07/2018 form was never mentioned.
The whole PSC process was fairly traumatic though:
- Reception very rude, clearly on a bit of a power trip.
- "Booking in" - much more friendly, but being done by a trainee. Bit of an emotional rollercoaster, as he kept hitting problems with the system, and would have to get his trainer to correct them - constantly worried us there was a problem with our application!
- Biometrics went fine
- Then waiting - despite a very early appointment we waited 3 hours after biometrics completed before being called again (4h after our appointment time)
- They claimed not to be able to find a couple of bank statements - insisted they were there. Sent back to wait for another hour.
- 5 hours after our appointment time - visa approved
Appreciate the system is changing very soon, but some tips for others:
- There's no point beautifully arranging financial documents grouped by month with payslips, bank statements, photocopies for that month all together - they want each document type separately, and photocopies separated.
- Don't make plans for the rest of the day, no matter how early your appointment is.
Now just waiting for BRP. Quoted 7-10 working days, but consensus seems most arriving in 3-4?
