marshmello is a person? I just thought it was the type of helmet or something I'm not into that music scene much (beyond stuff like Daft Punk if you could that) so just assumed it was the "technical name" of the helmet hahah

Lol yeah, he's a person. His identity was unknown for quite a long time because he'd never go anywhere without the helmet. But like most dance music at that level he probably has a massive team of ghost producers writing the music.

From the little I know about him, he seems to be fabulously rich.  Writes music designed to appeal to early teenagers with very simple melodies and strong pop hooks.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he wasn’t a team of corporate shills.
