Not clown thing but something different. Creepy looking statue created by an artist that somebody has supposedly picked up to use in "Blue Whale" type activity.
Though....while I think the concept of this is incredibly f*cked up and hope that this definitely isn't happening (and can't imagine why somebody would even want to make this up), I do find myself questioning if it IS actually happening or if it's just another internet hoax making its way around....
I've never once seen somebody post to an actual video in question about this, just loads of post of screenshots (which can be faked) to say that this is a thing that's happening now. I've not seen actual news reports of people actually being impacted by this, just news reports to say that there are stories of people being impacted by this (I know the whole Blue Whale thing had actual news stories about specific individuals that were impacted in Russia, but this doesn't seem to be the same).
My guess is that somebody started this hoax and created fake screenshots of texts (but even the texts don't actually appear to show the horrific things that the articles have been claiming are being said) and videos to create a sense of panic that parents are (naturally) spreading like wildfire. Obviously you can't be too careful when your kids are at stake, but I am not actually buying into this one with the evidence presented.
