seriously, her mom got me 6 bottles of the stuff, small ones, big ones.  and a can of fried onions cause she was trying to be cheeky.  ;)

You've got me in a panic now.
I went to Morrison's yesterday and bought 4 tubs of Danfood onion crispies, cos now im convinced they might some day run out of them, or decide to stop stocking them!!  :o

Sainsbury's carries fried onions.  They are in the same section as dried peas, beans, soup ingredients - actually, dried anything.

Yep, somethings are right under your nose  :)

I don't seem to have a lot of trouble finding the foods or ingredients I like.  Something I find helpful is to go to the home-shopping website of your favorite store, and type in the item into their search box.  You'll soon see if they carry it or not, and might even get a clue as to where to find it in store.

I was able to find fried onion crispy things at our local Co-op (after striking out at Tesco). HOWEVER ... I couldn't find condensed cream of mushroom soup anywhere! I found regular cream of mushroom, but it's way too runny -- something I didn't discover until I got home and realised it wasn't condensed.  Hrmph.

You should be able to find Campbell's condensed in most supermarkets. Tesco and Sainsbury's definitely stock it.

My Tesco must have just run out of it then. And as for Sainsbury, I'm GREEEEEEN with envy at you lot with your Sainsbury, Waitrose, etc. I'm out in the sticks with only Tesco.  :-\\\\

I don't think you understand. I'm really out in the middle of nowhere. We're waaaaay beyond the delivery range of any Sainsbury or Waitrose -- honestly, I can't say that I even know where the nearest one is. At least 100 miles, I'd guess.

oh! i see! well in that case I recommend the Rossllyn Deli mail order service, the link is in the thread about where to buy US food - they have loads of stuff from all over the world.

SW Wales. Actually, I checked and I'm not quite 100 miles to civilisation! But it's 50+ to Sainsbury and nearly 70 to Waitrose.  >:(  I don't really have an objection to Tesco, but I do find that it doesn't stock a lot of the special little things that I've come to miss.
