Hello UK Yankee forum!
I am delighted to have stumbled upon this forum as this is just the right place for me. I am an American living in the UK. For the most part I think the UK seems to be like a 51st state (almost). Everything has been going well since I moved here to live with my British husband in Nov 2021 on a spousal visa.
However, I do miss home sometimes and I just cannot seem to forget my place of birth lately. There are just a few small but large differences from the UK and the US. I will probably rant about the differences in another post.
Overall, I think I've made the right decision for me and my husband to live in the UK, although I miss home, I think that there are some things about the UK that are really great for living in comparison to the US. ( I also have my grievances about the US).
