TOR submission for two shipments
« on: August 15, 2022, 08:53:20 PM »
My wife and I will be sending two shipments from the USA to the UK when we move back to Blighty.  One shipment will go by boat, the other will go by air.  Do I need one or two TOR applications in this instance?  Thanks in advance.

Called HMRC and they said I just needed one application and I don’t need to separate the goods list into two shipments.  Cheers.

Excellent info, thanks for that. Our daughter will be doing just this soon.

One thing worth mentioning is that I made my initial TOR application on 13th August but heard nothing back from HMRC apart from the reply email with a reference code.  So I called them up after 2 1/2 weeks and spoke to a very helpful person called Kate.  She said my application had been lost in the system but if I resubmitted the PDF copy of my TOR application which I had saved and provided the support documents (passport copy, proof of current address and future address in UK - exec suites booking confirmation) then she’d get it sorted quickly.  Within a couple of hours the TOR approval letter was in my email inbox.   So my advice is if you have any issues give them a call.
