Biometrics for ILR / do we bring our own photo

Hello All ,

Does anyone know if we have to supply our own photo for the biometrics app ?

As I am preparing for mine for my ILR

Got engaged in Germany in July 2017
Got married in Philadelphia Oct 2017
Applying for Spouse visa for the UK
Application paid December 17th 2017
Bometrics booked for Dec 22nd 2017
Package sent off to Sheffield Dec 23rd 2017(priority)
Package recieved In Sheffield Dec 27th 😬🤞🏻
Decision email sent Jan 17th 2018 😬😳🤞🏻🙏🙌🏼
VISA APPROVED Jan 22nd
Cambridge here I come !!!
Applied FLR(M)  Sept 9th 2020
App invite.       Sept 23rd 2020
Submit FLR(M)Oct 5th.   2020

No. Passport photos have not been required for visa applications for a few years now.

They will use the biometrics photo that they take at your appointment for your new BRP card.

I am just going over the paperwork now and I looked at the declaration for spouses and there's only one part , is this correct and I believe the last one had 3 parts to it for him to sign ? now I AM GETTING NERVOUS !!


also I am having my paper work scanned, I am trying to figure out an order for it to go in .

Any advice ?

Yes, if the application only mentions the spouse’s declaration, then you just submit the the one part.

The one with 3 parts was the Consent to Checks forms (for both of you to sign), but this is not needed for all visa application types… so if it doesn’t ask for it, then you don’t need it.
