Hello All!
Today, at 10:35 am, I received the Home Office email notifying me that my application for naturalisation was approved! I checked the Westminster website for my ceremony booking options and was able to book my ceremony for today at 4:00pm. The ceremony took about 30 minutes and by 4:30pm I had my certificate in hand. It was bizarre to wake up not knowing anything about my app and finish the afternoon as a British citizen!
I want to thank everyone here for the incredible help over the past 6+ years to get here. This forum has been invaluable and has offered so much reassurance as well as guidance. I genuinely could not have gone through this process with my sanity in check without you guys. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Here is my citizenship timeline for anyone curious:
28 July 2023 - Submitted application online
17 August 2023 - Attended biometrics
27 November 2023 - Received approval email at 10:35am
27 November 2023 - Attended ceremony (Westminster, London) at 4:00pm
