Teletubbies in the US
« on: January 19, 2005, 05:22:42 PM »
Just sharing an observation...

My two boys were "brought up" on Teletubbies in England.

They are both past those years now.  However, I was just flipping through the channels and came across the show.  Oh My, what a shock it was to hear it in American voices!!!!!   :o

It just did not seem right, and was quite disturbing!  (That is, more disturbing than it already is!)

So funny! Jordan used to watch Teletubbies when he was in the USA. When we moved to the UK. I HATED to let him watch it. It sounded so weird.

almost as disturbing as how children are transfixed and giggling as they watch them while standing 6 inches from the TV screen.  My 1.5 y/o blissfully watches them with any accent.

(I do make her move back from the TV screen)

I was surprised to hear Max and Ruby in the American accents. They have the Teletubbies in Irish which is fun to watch. Slan Slan!
