Beef Jerky in the UK?

Hi all,

Another Newbee. Been around a little over a year, just wanting to know where one can get good beef jerky - like the Pemican stuff one finds out west in good old USA....

Yes I know, not everyone is into jerky...but...it is good for the Atkins diet! (no I am not fat!)

Hoping to hear from somebody on this, there has got to be an American in the UK that also likes jerky...

I've seen "American" brands of jerky at the grocery store and the off licence...

I have seen and bought some in Sainsburys, it is VERY expensive for what you get though.  My husband bought 2 packs,  I looked at the receipt, and we said we'd only ever buy it for a special treat.  I can't remember how much it was, but it was expensive enough for me to comment on it. 

Saying that, it was rather tasty

I used to make beef jerky.  Maybe I will when I come over.  Heh.  Right.
