Love - both for my husband and for England.  (In that order.)

It started out as I was disgruntled at the prospects after graduating from College in Norfolk ...I didn't want to end up as a navy wife which seemed to be the route my mates where going. I came to study at Kings and for the adventure aspects all the other catergories mentioned in the poll followed along.
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

My husband is from the UK and he wants to move back to start a business and be with his parents who are now 90.  He is fed up with the lack of social life in California.  He says England has more soul and is overall a friendlier place.  We will be coming over in July.

Well in our case it was critical mass with life in US (California)...it got really unbearable, the politics and the almost non-existant social life got so bad that we would have gone anywhere if push came to shove and were prepared to live with much much less than what we were used to although i have to say that the fact that i have an EU passport made the transition to europe (London) much smoother. We're glad we got out now rather than in middle age..i still have family in CA and do go back to shop especially with the great exchange rate
Cheers
Zu
PS i am a fashion designer/pattern cutter in London

I think it's interesting that you commeted on the non-existant social life as my British husband really got fed up with it.   When we sold our house after 12 years, only one of our neighbors said goodbye to usWe are also fed up with the political situation here.  !
(We're from Los Gatos)  What part of California are you from?  All my family is from California and I plan on lots of shopping trips when I return home!
