Cooking light recipe success!

I tried to make the American Chili recipe from cooking light (had to substitute the turkey sausage but that's okay) and it was great!  Roy had never had chili before so it was a nice thing for him to try out.  He ate two bowl fulls!  I'd definitely recommend it!

One of my favorite recipes is actually a white bean and turkey chili from them from years ago.  Chili can be so low fat if you leave out the greasy low grade meat and avoid piling on tons of sour cream and cheese.

cooking light rocks, i swear by it. i also read a lot of the comments about the recipies to know what may have worked or not worked for others!

I've been using the cooking light recipes a lot lately (thanks to aimiloo's posting the codes   ;)) and REALLY enjoy them.  There are several bean salad recipes that I'd recommend - there's a fantastic one with black beans and tangelos.  I know it sounds weird, but it is SO good for lunch!   ;)

Oh, I wish Richard would eat chili!!!  I love it!  I just hate cooking for 1 for some reason!!!

I do a pure veggie chili (no meat) and love it! Of course, I'm not sure how "light" it is after I dollop on the sour cream and crumble up the tortilla chips into it!  ;)

Speaking of chili, this reminds me of taco pie, one of my favorite recipes, but for some reason I've not made it here yet. Maybe because I don't have a proper cooker with an oven. Anybody like taco pie? And while we're on the subject of chili, has anyone bought chili in a can here? They put weird things in it, that I'm totally not used to having in chili!!!!

LOVE cooking light! I have a subscription here. If you need a code, let me know. Also, go to Borders- check the page with the editors' names - it has that month's code at the bottom.

I just made the apple cinnamon cake for a friend who just had a baby - it is sooooo deliciious!  ;D
