Leftover Zuni Stew!  Last night, he made these little flatbread thingies (almost like homemade tortillas) to go with it, but tonight I think we'll just have some rice to go with.

And I am thirsting after that bottle of cider that has been in the fridge for a few weeks now...

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I'm intrigued...

I made a lentil soup that was really nice! Quite a bit like dahl, and I really just winged it. We had that with some crusty bread that I got on markdown at the local shop (would have gone nice with naan bread, too)... I figured the whole lot up at about 60p per serving. Not too shabby, and there's some in the freezer for later.  :)

I made a sort of fish pie last night with fresh trout... pretty tasty! I think today we might have corned beef pie. Or cheese omelettes with hash browns.
