Getting US drivers license renewed?

To get your US drivers license renewed now..do most States require you to have a address in the USA?

Hi, Bluerose .... I don't know in general but I do know that Florida required a local street address quite a number of years ago, and I'm sure the process hasn't been made any easier since.  As I recall, there were special arrangements for the military who were based away / overseas though.

If you're living in the UK rather than the USA now, you can drive in the USA when you visit on your UK driving license even if you're still an American citizen on a USA passport.

My Pennsylvania license will...but I'll be using my dad's address (which I'm using anyway).

I do the same, I use my parent's addres in NJ as my permenant address for things like my US bank account and drivers licence.  The only hitch is that NJ will no longer let you renew by mail.... So I'll have to do it when I go back for xmas I guess.

I use my mother's address in Florida, which was my last residence in the US anyway.  And Florida lets you renew online.

If you're applying in the first instance for a new licence from a different state, I would imagine you might have to show some sort of proof of residence in that state?  But to renew it, I would check and see if your state allows you to do it online.
