I like Jack, but I keep hearing the whiny voice he used on PO5. (On mute I like him a lot ;) )  Now Sawyer, he's my kind of yum!

oh no don't like him maybe it's the red-neck attitude he's playing :-\\\\

We enjoyed it and I stayed up to watch "next week's episode on E4" without a moment's hesitation. it was rather slow in places but there were also a few really good scenes - like receiving the message that was 16 years old, very nice.

All my mom would tell me is that there's something bad or evil on the island and I can't figure out what that has to do with a polar bear!

The only thing that was sub-par was the terrible English accent the Overdrive guy was putting on. Variable from bad to nonexistant.
I know I'm late - where's the booze?

I am glad that they are finally showing Lost over here.  When I had to go back to the States last year in October to get my spousal visa, my friend - who had taped every episode of the show as far as it had gotten to there at the time - had me sit down and watch it (you know, a diversion from worrying about the visa).  I really enjoyed it and have been waiting for them to get around to showing it over here.  I told my husband about it, and he was anxiously (well, maybe not as anxiously as I...but...) waiting for it with me.  I am happy to say he was not disappointed.  He was very intrigued...just as I had hoped.  Ah yes, another one hooked.

I, of course, due to the fact that I got to see about 6 or 7 of the episodes that will be coming up here in the weeks to come, am having to try to keep my mouth shut and not give any of the upcoming surprises away.  Nope, you won't get spoilers from me...well, unless you beg really nicely.   ;D

I absolutely loved it! I'm not a huge tv fan, and not much time to devote to it if I were, so I really appreciate something out of the ordinary to watch. I really like the fact that each character is becoming well-defined and find it fascinating to watch the inter-personal psychology during their interactions...certainly sucking me in!

I was amazed how derogatory many of the comments were on BBC 1 this morning...the female entertainment reporter seemed unimpressed (too many good looking people on the island to make it plausible???!)

It's BBC1 they are not exactly going to say it's a fantastic show it will compete with their own...

Well, it is an American show and one of the reasons I do like British TV is that they seem to use "real-looking" people much more in their shows than you ever see in shows from the States.  Yeah, their all "easy on the eyes" in Lost, but the story line is GOOD - and that's what makes it worth watching.

Actually, for the most part I thought they were quite average looking...quite a cross-mix. (Not like...token black family...tick box; token asians, tick box; token middle easterner, tick box; token fat guy, tick box...and so forth!)

Hmmm.

I liked it. I'm definitely hooked. But something about it didn't live up to what I'd hoped. Maybe it was the pretty people thing. Maybe it was the dinosaur/alien/monster thing - I actually didn't really find that bit particularly scary, but rather sort of lame, and I'm with Lola - if it's a monster of some sort and it picks people off one-by-one I don't know if I can go on watching....  ::) I thought the recorded message thing could have been scary had the insinuation not been that the monster had eaten people. But I was hooked in by the stories and was anxious to hear all of the rest of them - the fat guy, the Asian people, etc.

HOWEVER, clearly there's something going on beyond all of that - I got that from the bald guy, and I honestly do think I'm on to something which could explain quite a bit, but I'm not positive. If it is what I think it could be then it would sort of take care of the monster plot in a way that I could live with.... But I don't want to know yet, so no spoilers!!!  :D

I have to admit I was hooked in enough to watch the 2nd episode and the ending of that freaked me out quite a bit... and may have also added to my hunch.  ;)

Mark and I watched it lastnight and loved it...he was going to record the 3rd one, but by the end of the second he was ready to jump to the third....and I love the heavy guy...Hurley right? He is so funny!!! How awful was that when the one guy was trying to spare the other guy further pain, and then ended up making things worse! I think the guy that found the dog is major creepy and cant wait to see whats going on with him....Thank goodness for Sky Plus to get to see them ahead and still not miss other shows...

I only caught the last half hour (will see the entire thing in a couple of weeks), but from what I gathered, it looks fantastic, and my instinct told me this is indeed something to really pay attention to... and an article in Time Out states that as well; even books that are briefly picked up, and small things that may only appear for a moment, all hold significant clues.
And since Alias was my total addiction, I know I'll love this.  If it's JJ Abrams, it's going to be very complex, and full of twists and suprises.  And I LOVE that Dominic Monaghan is in it, whatever the accent!
And I had NO IDEA that was Matthew Fox!  I thought he was cute back when, but now, indeed, FAB in a whole new way!
And THEN... my jaw dropped when I saw my friend Jorge is in it!!!  We used to do stand up together in LA, and studied at the same school.  (the guy who plays Hugo, the big, curly haired guy).

So... I think I'm hooked.
