I'm with you there!  I'm thinking he's not.  I don't know why?

well, my reasoning is that the evil russian cyclops blew the window out with the grenade. now, the last we saw of the-character-i-will-not-name-here-for-fear-of-spoiling it-for-those- who've-not-yet-seen-it, he was floating back towards the window, then they cut to desmond.

leaves me a glimmer of hope...

I thought the finale was great and the death of you know who (why aren't we naming him now???? It's been a week...) was very moving and I hated his character the most!  He finally redeemed himself.

Does anyone know who is in the coffin????  The Dr said he wasn't friend or family but he looked teary eyed and touched the coffin. That leaves out Ben!!!!

I want to know who is in the coffin too! But did the dr say HE? or did he say THEY? Could anyone see what the article was that he ripped out of the newspaper while on the plane?  Also, I was a bit puzzled when Jack said "go upstairs and get my father and see if he is as drunk as I am"  Because his father is supposed to be dead.  But DH made a point to say that while on the island it appears that not everyone who is supposed to be dead stays dead.  In fact all the people on the island themselves are supposed to be dead. At least that is what the rest of the world believes. I don't think (the one we aren't mentioning) is dead either.  When they kill characters off isn't it usually because they have done something off the set that is wrong such as a DWI or something? THere is too much of a storyline in a lot of ways with him.

A DUI/DWI isn't the only reason - they do have planned storylines as well.  However, it is a stipulation in their contract (since it's a Disney production) if they get in trouble for drinking or drugs, it's immediate termination... and a few of them I guess got a little bored when first in Hawaii.

Didn't Jack only say that when he was flipping out for the prescription?  I think it was just a line, to fool the girl at the counter.  He did go to Australia to pick up his dad's body... but I s'pose anything is possible.

I think Sawyer's in the coffin  ???  or did she end up with Sawyer?

We are allowed to name him.  Nik is not because she does not want to believe he is dead [smiley=dead.gif]

For as big a following as this show obviously had, I wish my husband and I watched it. Now it seems a bit late in the game.

 :P long live the hobbit!!!!!

i'm thinking it's locke in the casket. i'm thinking that kate ended up with sawyer. and i'm also thinking that's exactly what the writers want me to believe, so it's probably not at all true.

Maybe it's him who shall not be named :P  Finally died after being saved all those times.

I think it's Jacob in the Casket, or Ben :)  Someone with no friends or invisible friends.

Could be the annoying Juliette!

A key clue was not only that he tore out the announcement, and that it upset him, but that Kate's reaction was "Why would I go?" (to the funeral).

good point, that. also explains his reaction in the car as he read it. why would he cry over someone he wasn't emotionally attached to?

with that in mind, maybe it was his ex-wife...

Could be the ex-wife; which would entail another storyline connecting Kate with her.

You mean Jack's ex-wife Sarah?  It can't be her because she was pregnant and came to the hospital after he tried to jump off the bridge.  I think we are led to believe that Kate ended up with Sawyer.  Which, as Niku2 stated, means it probably isn't true.

Right, right right right... forgot about that bit.

Yes, right now it's totally logical that it would be Sawyer... which means it probably isn't...

EXCEPT - it would be cool to see that Sawyer was the one who turned his life around and ended up with Kate, while Jack fell apart. [smiley=gossip.gif]
