Question Regarding: Data Protection Act - any takers?
« on: April 16, 2005, 06:31:18 PM »

I'm curious . . . if a company publishes an email address (say an employer sending out emails to people both employed and not employed by this business) without consent of the email addressee, isn't this a contravention of the DPA? My husband says no, I think yes and I'm trying to find out who's right (there's a curry dinner - I know big spenders - riding on it).

Anyone have the scoop?
I know I'm late - where's the booze?

I think you're looking at the wrong Act:

You might find your answer here somewhere.
