Taking a chance that my not so trusty lawnmower would start last night - and it did!!!!!  My back yard no longer looks like a pasture.  Thank goodness for wonderful neighbors who have taken care of the front yard for me.  Now I don't have to feel guilty about that any more as I can cut it myself again.

A massive storm just blew through.  I sit on the 19th floor of my office building, right on the Detroit River.  It was a fantastic show of driving rain, lightning, and wind!!  And it has washed the building shining and clean - my windows are nice and clear now.  Everything looks nice and fresh outside, and the sun is starting to peek back out behind the dark gray skies to show us a sliver of blue.

Gorgeous!!

I love that!  I'm hoping for a few quick storms when I visit my family in August.
