DS and DH are playing Xbox NHL hockey.  The announcer is obviously a yank putting on a hoser accent - so funny.  But even funnier, is my son putting on a total hoser accent while playing.  With his Caifornia/UK midlands/Canadian hybrid accent, we forget what he would sound like if  he had acutally grown up in Canada!  ;D

Congrats Zeusy!
Hope you feel better soon Jennredd!

My unexpected pleasure was helping to serve the school's Christmas dinner.  Usually I just come in to help get things ready and to wash up.
While I was washing up I looked out of the kitchen window to the playground.  I saw our oldest DD being helped by a teacher. When the teacher had to go somewhere else, some of the older children came over and helped her (she was trying to walk on those things that look like upside down flower pots with strings).
It is so great to live in a place where the children look after one another.  :D

Had nice long talk with DH tonight.  Have finished packing and can now just chill.  Had important meeting at work and it went alright although it was pretty horrible for me.  Glad to be leaving tomorrow for Chicago.

I had all my hair chopped off a couple of weeks ago, then was off sick for 2 weeks, and today was my first day back to work.  I've been living with the haircut for a while now and although im not thrilled with it, i've got used to it, but the people at work hadnt seen it yet... everyone made a big fuss and told me i looked great and that the haircut 'took years off me'!   :D

Congrats, zeusy!!! :)

Thanks I really couldn't ask for a better Christmas present....

My new UP is when I told my FIL that I got a job, he gave me the biggest hug and told me he was soo proud of me, and then produced a bottle of STRONGBOW!!  I don't know whether to be happy about the Strongbow or the hug.

considering how grumpy and  annoyed my nursing mentor has been with me she gave me a really good mid term evaluation.
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.
