late night snacking
« on: April 27, 2005, 12:29:00 AM »
I tend to work a lot durin the day and it's not till I get home when I start getting hungry and do evening eating.  I tried having a suitable breakie and and dinner but as I read and study at night ...I get hungry :-[ I've just noticed a spare tire lurking on my midsection....seems like the more active I am during the day the more I eat  :-\\\\ anyone have any advice on curbing this . :-[

I have the same problem :-\\\\. I like to eat popcorn at night because it is pretty low in calories ( without butter,of course :)) and it is really high in fiber. I munch on a giant bowl of it through the night, that way I can munch without gaining. Otherwise, I would have to do this: [smiley=lipsrsealed2.gif].

Snack on something that requires effort -- fruit that has to be peeled, nuts that have to be cracked, edamame that has to be popped out of the pod, etc., so that you're focused on what you're eating and it takes more time.  And drink lots of water!  ;)
