Anyone know anything about...

a Prospective Student visa?

Here (http://www.ukimmigration.com/family/uk_student_visa.htm) it says "Candidates who have not already chosen and been accepted in a course of study may apply for entry as a Prospective Student."

I'm withdrawing from my current UK uni, and am in the process of applying to another. However, I think it's true when you withdraw from a place you lose your current student visa (which would have lasted me 'til October). I really don't want to leave the UK just because I withdrew.

Does anyone have any info about how I apply for this? Do I have to apply from outside of the UK? Is it even a good idea??? Help! 

won't your course be ending for the sumer soon?  couldn't you just wait to withdraw from it till september or october?  that way you will be able to stay and find a new course in the meantime.  just an idea.
