Food Swap - June
« on: May 26, 2005, 04:04:16 AM »
I've gone through the thread for the May swap and have updated the information:

 http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=12534.0

If everybody is happy, I would suggest keeping their original Foodie friends.  We can then match new participants more easily, rather than doing a whole new draw.  PM your Foodie friend to get a list of what each other wants.  The aim is to get the packages out the first week of the month.

Here's the current list:

Mars Bar
Belindaloo

Kellie
Stacey
Pebbles

PeachbytheBeach
Muse

Europein 2005
A Another

Saf
Kiin

Courtney
Liz

Augie
Lola

Delara
Trudif

For New Participants:  Please confirm if you are still interested in participating.   For those of you who I'm not sure where you live, please confirm that as well.  I'm sorry that I'm not on top of that!

Returning Participants:  If you've not confirmed participation, please do so in the event we need to make amendments.

I'll match up new participants as soon as all the information is squared away!

Thanks everybody for your continued enthusiasm.  I've really enjoyed doing this!

I am definitely still interested :). Thanks, Kellie, for organizing everything.

Hello Foodies!

I've update the list of Foodie Friends based on those who have confirmed participation.  At this point, please go ahead and make your lists, pm your Friend and post your parcels if you've not already done so.

Last time we set the amount at £30/$20, but at the end of the day, so long as you are in agreement with your partner, that's how much you should spend.

If anybody who is on the waiting list and hasn't confirmed partipation, please do so and we'll see if we can make a match.

FYI, I'm leaving on Saturday for a five day road trip to Memphis and will not be around.

Thanks again everybody!

People who have done this before from the UK, how did you send it? Going by the rates on the Royal Mail website, it's going to cost £40 to send HALF of what I've bought by Airmail.

Don't send Airmail! Actually, it's up to you and your Swap Buddy to decide how much of a hurry you're in to receive your parcels. Marsbar and I sent ours surface and were both happy with that.

Speaking of Marsbar ... WHERE ARE YOU!?!? I've PM'd you and haven't heard anything! Does anyone know where she is?

Kellie, perhaps you are still traveling, but I think I need an alternate swap partner.  I haven't heard back from Peachbythe Beach, sadly!

Would love to swap in June and the first week is quickly passing for a parcel in the post.

Thanks!

Hi!

I'm just checking in quickly...

Has everybody heard from their partners?  Muse and Belindaloo, I'm wondering if you've heard anything since your posts...

I'm exhausted from my trip, so I'm not going to be on much, but will check back in later.  Thanks!

I think I was too ambitious. I am still in the throoes of moving, I think I will bow out this time.Sorry.
