So for all of you student travelers out there, what is an ISIC card?  Is it worth getting for £7 and what does it get you?  Thank you.

It's an "International Student Indentity Card".   I Can't answer whether it's a good idea / worth the money for you, but have a look at http://www.isic.org/sisp/index.htm and that has lots of information.

Has anyone here used or considered an ISIC card? Verdict?

I had a dodgy one that a travel agent gave me to save money on a flight.  It is worth having if you travel a lot - you can get good discounts on flights as well as being able to use it for more general student discounts at the cinema etc.
