Anyone worrying about the summer holiday?
« on: July 29, 2005, 11:47:21 AM »
I am off to France tomorrow and somewhat dreading it... I have been so good for the past few weeks and have been very pleased with my determination and weight loss. I've actually got to the point where food isn't holding much interest, which is fantastic.

And now it's off to France... and the cheese and bread and wine. My boyfriend and I have already made up a running rota for us both so we'll both get to exercise. And I have no worries about eating loads of fruit and salad. Its just the morning croissants drenched in jam that I am dreading and the ice cream treats with the boys..... And I KNOW me and i'll start saying "how often do I get to France - enjoy the moment!"

And you can only say "nothing tastes as good as being thin feels" for so long when stood next to a creperie......

I very much hope to be strong but I am fretting about eating less than 1000 cals a day..

Anyone else worrying about their upcoming hols and any mindgames they can recommend?

seriously you'll keep active without even realizing and a little splurging here and there is all part of holidays... ;)
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

Have you ever read that book "French Women Don't Get Fat"? It says the French do indulge in fattening treats, but they eat more slowly and savor every bite instead of stuffing themselves, and they eat much less but more frequently and keep active. They also drink TONS of water to stay full and hydrated. Anyway, the book has some great words of wisdom in it for staying trim in a land of indulgent food, and it may be a fun read because you're heading to France! :) (I love France by the way... you're so lucky!)
Plans on hold 'cuz Brexit
