What holidays do you celebrate that aren't part of your cultural traditions? For example, I'm not Jewish but I think Purim is just about the coolest holiday ever.
That's so cool you celebrate Purim!  Have you ever made hamentashen? (sp?)

I was raised Jewish so celebrating Christmas would be one for me, but my hubby's family really is not religious at all so it just a big gift-fest really.

I do celebrate the pagan sabbats in  my own quiet way (Samhain, Yule, Beltaine, the solstices and equinoxes, etc.)  But even though I wasn't raised doing this, I do consider it part of my own traditions now.

Oh just realized mapleleafgirl answered that one already!

What is something you'd like to get done before the year is out?
Hmmm, I'd like to brainstorm and figure out some places to play my harp and get at least a couple gigs scheduled.

What's your favorite way to spend a rainy day when you are off from work?

Not counting fish or roommates' pets, I'll have to say Poochie, the cat my ex had before we were together, but she lived until right before we got divorced.  She was a big fat grey and cream tabby who lived to snuggle and eat.  I loved  her sooooo much.  :\\\'(

What would your ideal autumn weekend look like, what activities would you do?

Did it 2 weekends ago on holiday. Walking amongst the trees with changing leaves, doing a little shopping, stopping for a warming and refreshing glass of wine. Perfect!

Do you wear a hat during the winter?

Hmmm, gosh, maybe 3 or 4?  I don't really keep track - just do it when it needs doing.  I usually do 1 or 2 loads (as needed) of bedding & towels, then 2-4 of clothing.

Are you excited about your upcoming holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years) plans?

Involved in church activity. Then a good session of golf balls at the driving range. Watched my (American) football team dominate. Then talked to my sweetie (UKBF) and parents.

Biggest hurdle you plan to leap this week?
