Not really.  They have gelatin in them anyway, right?  I did when I was a kid, though.

The last time you got dressed up for Halloween what were you dressed as?

I wore a sparkly mini witches hat (it came on a headband but I broke that off and clipped it to my hair), sparkly pipecleaner spider earrings, sparkly makeup and knee-socks with silver skulls on them. I didn't really consider it a costume so much as a nod to the holiday, but I got candy and two free cups of tea.

Do you put up christmas/hannukah/winter decorations?

Nope. Nothing.

Are you doing anything for Guy Fawkes?

Not firm plans, but we're definitely going to a Bonfire!  Probably in the city-centre unless someone has a better suggestion nearer to our home.

Have you ever tried boxing?

Not formal boxing. Kickboxing yes. Karate sparring yes. But never official boxing.

How often do you vote? (in whichever country you're allowed to)

Well, I don't think I have a favorite item anymore.  For 20 years (!) it was a 1940s looking black velvet jacket, but I finally got rid of it a couple years ago.  When I first moved here, I was excited about bringing my black suede knee-high boots over 'cause I had been so long without them--I still really like them.

What are your plans for this weekend?

Watching Mr MLG go diving & clear out some junk: the autumn clean is on.

What's your favourite thing to do when you are home alone?

Watch Trashy Movies on TV

Do you balance your checkbook or checking/current account daily?

Nope.

Do you have a British "comfort" food?

Hmmm, not really any British comfort food, no.  Don't get me wrong, because I love a lot of British food - cheeses, sausages, meat pies, roast dinners, curries, chips, all that.  But comfort food to me is my own homemade macaroni & cheese, or homemade chicken-n-noodles over mashed potatoes - both of which I consider to be more American-oriented.  :)

Not at all.  Not a napper.

Do you have a regular night out, like for a pub quiz, drinks with friends?

Sort of.  Tuesday is our open mic night, but we don't always go.  We should go more often!

TPBM finds cooking or baking to be a good de-stresser.

Yes, especially the part when you're done and you have cookies or bread or pie.

What holidays do you celebrate that aren't part of your cultural traditions? For example, I'm not Jewish but I think Purim is just about the coolest holiday ever.

I would likely celebrate only Guy Fawkes in the UK and Hallowe'en in North America and nothing else, if I had my own way. I don't tend to celebrate stuff, really.

Midsummer, maybe, if I lived in the Nordics?

What is something you'd like to get done before the year is out?
